All printers who have passed the pOS certification program are required to be trained by a pressSIGN International Expert. All Experts have attended Bodoni's UK advanced training program headquarters demonstrating their theoretical knowledge and practical experience of printing standards.

To ensure the specifications provided by the program are used in daily production pressSIGN (pOS) provides an online verification service for 500 jobs per year. At the annual assessment the auditor will want to see 300 qualified jobs, demonstrating that the pOS process is in daily use.

HOW TO BECOME pOS CERTIFIED
Training for pOS takes place locally To become pOS certified must attend a minimum of two day approved training program carried out by a pressSIGN International Expert either at their own premises or at a central training site. Training covers all aspects of the color workflow and includes file handling, color conversion, device link profiles, proofing, measurement, color control, lighting, press parameters, plate adjustment etc.
pOS Print Test In addition to the required training the printer will have to submit audited sheets that achieve 100% compliance with the ISO standard 12647-2 Amd 1:2007 for any of the ISO paper types. During the audited test job the printer will be required to demonstrate press stability as well as 100% compliance. All audited press sheets are verified at Bodoni's UK headquarters.
